I have experience of working with people (18+) from diverse backgrounds, experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low-mood, low self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions (becoming a parent, changing jobs, retirement, relocation, children leaving home etc.), long term health conditions, stress management, grief and loss, childhood trauma and trust issues. I have particular interest in attachment issues, relational trauma and neurodiversity.
I have provided counselling and psychotherapy in a variety of settings, including Mind and the NHS (Essex Partnership University Trust), where I have been working as an Honorary Psychotherapist.
I work with individuals, couples and groups. I am also a UKCP registered trainee psychotherapist in the advanced stages of a MSc in Psychotherapy. This means that I have undertaken rigorous training to help with deep-rooted issues.
As part of my commitment to continuous professional development (CPD), I regularly attend further courses and workshops. I regularly attend professional supervision in accordance with BACP and UKCP guidelines.
