For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by how our minds work – what shapes the way we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. Following two major life transitions, this curiosity led me to start my own personal therapy. In 2017, I took my first counselling course, and from there, my professional journey into psychotherapy truly began. I went on to complete a Diploma in Counselling, followed by Master’s-level training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy – a process that has been both academically rigorous and deeply personal.
More about me…
I am a qualified Psychotherapist, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and certified Transactional Analyst in the field of Psychotherapy. I have experience of working with people (18+) from diverse backgrounds, experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties. My training equipped me to work with individuals, couples, and groups, and I’ve also completed additional training in couples therapy at certificate level. I’m committed to ongoing learning and regularly take further training to ensure I continue providing the best support possible.
Before becoming full-time in private practice, I provided counselling and psychotherapy in a variety of settings, including four years at Mind, where I worked as a counsellor, and two years at the NHS (Essex Partnership University Trust) secondary care as an Honorary Psychotherapist.
I view therapy as a collaborative and personal process, with the therapeutic relationship at its core. While adhering to the principles of effective, reflective, and ethical practice, I do not position myself as an expert with all the answers. Instead, I see my role more as walking alongside my clients as they navigate their own path.
Today, I feel incredibly grateful to do this work and to witness the courage of my clients as they create meaningful change in their lives.
