FAQs

What are the timing of sessions?

The sessions are normally weekly and each session will last 50 minutes. I will keep the same time slot open for you until our work is finished. In order to get the best out of your therapy sessions, it is important for you to set this regular time in your diary.

WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

My practice is based in Braintree, Essex. It is a safe, calm and welcoming space which is easily accessible from Halstead, Sudbury, Coggeshall, Chelmsford, Colchester, Dunmow and other nearby places. There is free onsite parking available (on a first-come, first-served basis). If you are coming by train, there is a walk of approximately 10 mins from the mainline station.

I also practice from a peaceful and comfortable space within a historical building in Central Colchester (Tuesday daytime and Thursday evenings). There are public car parks within walking distance.

How long will therapy last?

This will depend on many things, including your current situation, your reasons for seeking therapy, and your goals for therapy. We can discuss this in your first session (assessment session).

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES AND HOW CAN I MAKE A PAYMENT?

My fees are as follows:

I accept payment by Bank Transfer in advance of the session.

I have a limited number of reduced-rate spaces available for people who are experiencing financial hardship - please do not hesitate to ask.

What is the cancellation policy?

I require 3 days notice. If you give me less notice or miss a session with no cancellation, then the full fee is payable.

What HAPPENS IN OUR FIRST MEETING?

At our first session, we can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and how we might work together. Understanding your expectations from our work is an important part of this process. Following the first session, if we both decide to work together,  I usually suggest starting with 6 sessions, at the end of which we would have a review. For more information, please read here.
